Conway Arena offers a variety of skating opportunities to cater to all ages… and all abilities! Here are some common questions we receive.

When are you open for Public Skate?
We have Public Skate sessions several times throughout the week. To view our schedule, please visit the calendar of events. The schedule is up to date. In case of last minute cancelations, we will post on our Facebook page.
What is the cost of Public Skate?
Admission is just $5.00 and a skate rental is additional $4.00. Admission for children 3 years old and younger is free.
Do you offer skate rentals?
Yes we do! We have recreational figure skates and hockey skates in all sizes to choose from. Our skate sizes go from Toddler’s size 8 to Men’s hockey size 14. You can of course use your own skates.
Are there ice skating lessons?
Absolutely! We offer skating classes from the beginner level through adult. You will find more information regarding lessons under our Learn to Skate Program section.
Are helmets required?
We recommend the use of helmets for all skaters, especially beginners. If you can, please bring your own helmet from home. Any type of helmet – bike, ski, etc. – is acceptable.
Do you have group discounts?
We offer ticket books at $40 for 10 admissions. If you are a frequent skater or are hosting a bigger group, this may be a good option.
Do you offer Birthday Parties?
We offer two great birthday party packages! You can either book a party during one of our public skate sessions. You pay for admission and skate rentals for your guests, and an additional $30 or $40 for the room rental, depending on the room. You can also rent the ice for an hour. Please contact us directly for pricing and availability.
How old do you have to be to ice skate?
While we don’t have age requirements for public skate sessions, we do NOT allow children to be carried on the ice by parents. Children must be able to support themselves.
Do you offer adaptive skating?
Conway Arena has hockey sleds available. We have one child-sized and one adult sized sled. Any person pushing must be in skates.
Can I rent out the ice rink?
Private ice rentals vary in cost, depending on the season. You can use your ice time for skating or hockey – perfect for teambuilding events and birthdays! Call the rink at 603-595-2400 and speak with Candace to reserve your time!
When do you offer Stick Practice?
Please see our calendar of events to find times for stick practices. We offer Adult and Teen Stick and Puck, Youth Stick Practice as well as Kids, Pucks and Parents. See descriptions below to determine which program is suitable for you.
Kids, Pucks and Parents: For beginner hockey players who want to play on the net. Pass around with your kids and expose them to hockey, great for the skater in Learn to Skate or Learn to Play wanting more time on the ice. Parents may join, but are not required to. This is NOT for youth hockey players. $10 admission for two, $7 per individual. Hockey gear encouraged, bring your own helmets and sticks. Rental skates are available if needed.
Youth Stick Practice: Perfect for the youth Hockey Player who is looking to pick some additional recreational skate time over break! FULL GEAR is required. 14 and younger, MUST be a proficient skater. NO adults on this session. $10 per player. Goalies are free.
Teen Stick and Puck: Ages 13-17. Adults do not participate. $10 per skater, full gear required.
Adult Stick and Puck: Full gear required. $10 per player. 10 pass book for $80. Goalies are free.
When do you have Freestyle sessions?
We offer Freestyle for figure skaters to practice various days a week. Please check out our Figure Skating section on the website for days, times and pricing. You can either contract the ice time or pay as a walk-on. Please call ahead if you plan on coming in as a walk-on as some sessions fill up. Private lessons to take place during Freestyle must be arranged with the coach. If you are interested in private lessons, please contact the front desk or Coach Lisa directly and we can assist you in setting this up.
